Be The Change Mural

A coloring book created by Novastarr Nelson featuring full-page, full-color, abstract designs intended to inspire the user as they begin drawing in their artwork. Each page has a artist signature section on the back, documenting and validating the art you create!

A local Sonoma County resident lived in a beautiful rural area with gorgeous morning sunrises. She loved the view from her backyard of the soft purple mountains, hilly meadows, and vineyards. However, the gate she had installed for privacy and protection blocked the neighborhood from enjoying the same view, as they once had. She asked me to paint a new view for her neighbors that would light up their mornings.

The owner of this motorcycle requested that I create a custom design for his new plastic guards. We didn't really know what to work with, so I did some freehand experimenting with sharpie. The end design looked great, but unfortunately didn't last under the hot sun. Lesson learned!

In 2013, Becoming Independent began fundraising for the construction of an autism services wing at their facility. Complete with a "Preferred Activity Room" and fully stocked tech room, the intention of this wing is to provide focused and specific support to their clients with an autism diagnosis. 

A collection of single-color t-shirt graphics designed by Novastarr Nelson for Flagship Taproom. Each design was optimized for manual screen-printing on-site during recreational events like trivia nights, anniversary parties, Oktoberfest celebrations, etc.

ReMart Eco-Stores was founded 20 years ago with environmental stewardship and high-quality, name brand products in mind. Many of their listings are items purchased from larger retailers at discounted prices due to overstock or surface level imperfections. Their team of dedicated restoration professionals ensure the functionality of each product with thorough testing. Every purchase with ReMart prevents the need for new products to be produced, and the additional carbon emissions that come with that process. 

The School of Rock is a music academy for children and adults located in Sonoma County. They offer individual and group lessons to aspiring musicians, complete with group performances at local events and venues. The busy street they resided on offered plenty of foot and vehicle traffic, but the gray brick underneath the windows wasn't turning heads or attracting eyes. The owners requested a bright and exciting mural with a few personal components.
